An event photographer has one job that matters: be there for the moment and invisible the rest of the time.
I have photographed technical forums with two hundred engineers, company football tournaments, product days and Christmas parties that ran three nights in a row. The subject changes, the approach does not. I learn the running order, find out who needs to be in the pictures, and then stay out of the way.
I spent a career in engineering before this one, so I’m comfortable at a conference. I know what a panel looks like when it’s going well, and I know that the useful photograph is often the conversation at the coffee break, not the slide.
What I photograph
Conferences and forums
Speakers, panels, the audience actually listening, the exhibition stands, the handshakes afterwards. Photos your communications team can use the same week.
Company events and celebrations
Christmas parties, anniversaries, awards evenings, team days. People enjoying themselves, photographed so that they still look like themselves.
Sports and team days
Tournaments, charity matches, outdoor days. Fast, unposed, and everybody gets in at least one frame.
Product launches and open days
The room, the product, the people looking at it.
How I work
No flash unless the venue is genuinely dark, and even then I keep it off the stage. I dress for the room, arrive before the first delegate, and check the light in every space on the schedule. If you want a group photograph of the whole event, tell me in advance and I’ll find the spot and the two minutes it takes.
For multi-day events I can deliver a first selection each evening, so there is something to post the next morning.
Public liability insurance is in place, £1m of cover, and I can send the certificate over if your venue asks for it before the day.

No VAT. No travel charge in Chester and the North West. A 50% deposit confirms the booking, the rest on delivery.
Edited photos in a private online gallery within a few days, sized for web and print, with a licence to use them for your company’s own communication.
