Chester and the North West · documentary approach · quoted individually

The day, as it happened.

Every wedding is a story of its own, made of people, details and a running order that will not survive the morning.

My job is to follow it rather than direct it. I stay close enough to catch the reactions, without becoming part of the day. The quiet exchanges, the speech nobody could get through, the aunt laughing at the back: that is what you will want to look at in twenty years’ time, more than the posed line-up.

I do organise the group shots, because someone has to and because your mother will ask. But briskly, and then out of the way again.

What people say

“Just wanted to say thank you for making us all feel so relaxed, to the point that we forgot you were there sometimes, which if I recall is what you said you wanted to achieve, as then you get natural photos which will more often than not be the best. I would certainly recommend you to anyone who asks if I know of an excellent wedding photographer.”

Lynda

“All the photos in the album are amazing, thank you so much!”

Prices

Weddings vary more than any other kind of work: a registry office and lunch is not the same job as a full day with two locations and two hundred guests. So these are starting points, not packages.

The ceremony and the hours around itfrom £400
The full day, getting ready to first dancefrom £1,000
The full day, with a printed albumfrom £1,400

What moves the figure is the number of hours, and for the album the number of pages. Tell me the date, the place and roughly how the day is shaped, and I’ll send you a price. No VAT, no travel charge. A 50% deposit confirms the date, the rest on delivery.
