A portrait session is mostly conversation.
I set up, we talk, and somewhere in there you forget about the camera. That is the moment worth photographing, and it does not arrive on command.
I have been photographing people since 2010, in a rented studio, in living rooms, in parks and in the corner of a hotel lobby. The setting matters less than the time.
What I photograph
Personal portraits
For yourself, as a present, or because it has been fifteen years since the last decent picture of you.
Maternity
Quiet sessions, at your pace, usually between 28 and 34 weeks.
Families and friends
Everyone together, which is harder than it sounds and worth doing anyway.
Children and babies
As long as it takes. With small children, waiting for the right moment is most of the job.
Christenings
Documented as they happen, in the church and afterwards.
A few portraits
Studio or not
With the studio setup I bring backdrop and flash, which gives you the clean, controlled look that works for anything formal. Without it we use daylight, which is softer and often warmer. Neither is better. If you are unsure, say what the photos are for and I’ll suggest one.
Prices

| Christenings, 2 hours, then £50 per extra half hour | £150 |
No VAT. No travel charge. A 50% deposit confirms the booking, the rest on delivery. Around a hundred edited photos, in a private gallery, within a couple of days.
